Psalm 1:1-4; Luke 11:1-4: Putting Down Roots

RUF Wednesday Night Fellowship 10.13.21.

PSALM 1:1-4 & LUKE 11:1-4

Blessed is the man

who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,

nor stands in the way of sinners,

nor sits in the seat of scoffers;

but his delight is in the law of the Lord,

and on his law he meditates day and night.

   He is like a tree

planted by streams of water

that yields its fruit in its season,

and its leaf does not wither.

In all that he does, he prospers.

   The wicked are not so,

but are like chaff that the wind drives away.

11 Now Jesus was praying in a certain place, and when he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples.” And he said to them, “When you pray, say:

       “Father, hallowed be your name.

       Your kingdom come.

Give us each day our daily bread,

   and forgive us our sins,

for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us.

And lead us not into temptation.”
